About the Connectathon: https://theconnectathon.com

The Connectathon is a biannual “24 HR for Humanity” gathering connected to the Equinox  where people of good will and curious minds from all over the world meet to connect and speak about the future we want to live into.

  1. We gather and hold space for 24 hours to connect with ourselves, with each other, with our past and with the world.
  2. We explore who we are, where we are and, above all, start creating the story of who we want to be and where we want to go as a species and a civilisation.
  3. We take the insights and the new connections we make and create plans of action between here and the next gathering.

March 22nd, at 08:00 UTC / 09:00 CET
Question to explore and discuss: “Can leadership exist without a leader?”

Participants:

Leads for the discussion:

  1. If no one is in charge, who is responsible?
  2. Can power circulate without being accumulated?
  3. Are we co-leading to distribute power — or to avoid the discomfort of authority?
  4. What happens to co-leadership when fear enters the room?
  5. Is co-leadership possible without inner leadership?

March 22nd, at 09:00 UTC / 10:00 CET
Question to explore and discuss: “Are we growing food or commodities?”

Participants:

Leads for the discussion:

  1. Is modern agriculture feeding humanity, or feeding financial abstractions?
  2. Can soil be treated as a living being and still fit inside our economic logic?
  3. If agriculture destroys ecosystems but maximises calories, is it still agriculture—or a form of mining?
  4. Why do we measure agricultural success in tonnes, not in resilience?
  5. Who owns the right to regenerate life?

March 22nd, at 11:00 UTC / 12:00 CET
Question to explore and discuss: “Is AI winning?”

Participants:

Leads for the discussion:

  1. Who is AI allowed to make obsolete — and who is protected?
This exposes power, class, and whose intelligence is considered disposable.
  2. If AI reflects us, what part of humanity are we training it to become dominant?
    Efficiency? Control? Care? Curiosity? Fear?
  3. Do we want AI to replace human judgment — or to make us accountable for it?
    Very different design choices.
  4. What happens when AI becomes better at coordination than humans?
Not intelligence — coordination. That’s where systems really shift.
  5. Is AI being trained to serve life — or to optimise extraction?
This mirrors the agriculture question almost perfectly.
